Caretaker

Smart Workforce Solutions is recruiting a Caretaker to assist with building maintenance within a educational setting Based Hu17.

To carry out minor repairs and maintenance on the buildings and estate. This includes reporting all defects in buildings, equipment etc.

Shifts: Monday to Friday 9.00am until 5.30pm

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Due to the location and requirements, you must have a valid driving license and your own transport.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintaining clearways, corridors and staircase enclosures
• In potentially hazardous situations, take immediate action to instigate minor repairs
• locking up buildings at the end of the day
• To check electrical equipment as required
• To report major hazards which require work/repair
• To switch off main services in case of emergency
• Ensure all storage areas are maintained and comply with Health and safety

Requirements:

• Valid driving license
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• ‘Can Do’ attitude
• Able to provide references
• To pass a DBS check
• Able to form and maintain appropriate relationships with young people
